Karate Classes and Lessons

We offer four types of karate classes; youth (5 and up), teen and adult, Kenpo karate, and Mixed Martial Arts Fit (See MMA Fit classes below). All classes are one 45-minute class per week. Cummings Martial Arts does not charge belt fees or testing fees and only minimal tournament attendance is required. Our program also does not insist on calling the teacher "Master."

Karate classes teach students self defense that lasts well into adulthood.

MMA Fitness and Self-Defense Classes

Our MMA Fit program is a coed class for ages 12 - 65. MMA Fit is for those that want to learn and train like a fighter without actual fighting or getting hurt. This is a great class to learn self-defense without the kata's found in karate classes. This class will help you get stronger, leaner, and healthier. You get 25% cardio, 25% weight training, 25% kickboxing, and 25% ground grappling techniques.... which equals 100% sweat!

Private Karate Classes

Want a more personal interaction? Private karate classes for all ages are available to avoid peer pressure and/or to help accelerate learning. Private karate classes are also a good idea for those people who wish to speed up their progress, and also for those who may be new to karate and to martial arts. Contact us for complete details.

Cummings Martial Arts Tournaments

Cummings Martial Arts Tournaments take place each Spring. Our tournaments allow students to display what they have learned and to chart the progress they have made. Competing lets students reach their potential and builds confidence, self-esteem and self-resilience. Our tournaments also demonstrate the courage it takes to perform in front of relatives, judges and peers, while discovering areas in which to focus. Only CMA students are allowed to compete in tournaments.
